Información útilToday, dentists, have the opportunity to apply different devices to be able to offer digital dentistry to their patients. It is clear that digitalisation is here to stay, starting with the use of intraoral scanners that give the patient a more comfortable experience during their visit. In addition, traditionally, dental laboratories have been working with CAD-CAM systems, using a milling machine to reproduce prosthetic designs in a subtractive way. Today, however, the 3D printing revolution allows lab technicians and dentists to fabricate models, temporary and final restorations, and more. One of the advantages of 3D printing is that most dental printers are small to medium in size compared to traditional milling machines. Other benefits include improved efficiency and productivity of the practice.
3D printed models help dentists and their team to establish better communication between doctors and patients.
3D printing can be included in a daily workflow as they can now print in a short period of time, delivering temporary or final restorations in a single visit.
Finally, the technology is much more affordable compared to milling machines.
In our presentation, attendees will be able to see the different uses of 3D printing in daily practice and how it has become a MUST in different types of treatments and how it can completely change our practice.
